Work EXPERIENCE

Realtime

  • DORMER CONFIGURATOR – Procedural artist, Studio Ripple (04.2024-present)

    Built a prototype in Houdini and now developing a procedural dormer generator in Unreal Engine, as part of an advanced realtime 3D dormer configurator being built for dormer manufacturer Dakkapellen.nu together with Studio Ripple, De Bont Digital and Reuzenpanda. This includes a limited client version and an extended version for internal use, both web-based apps.

  • PILOT VR LEARNING ENV. – Realtime 3D artist, TU Delft (01.2020-09.2020)

    Researched the possibilities of introducing a realtime 3D learning environment into technical education at TU Delft. This included customer journey mapping for traditional, online and blended learning, and building realtime 3D concepts in Unreal Engine based on opportunities from the journey map.

  • VIRTUAL CTO – Realtime 3D artist, TU Delft (07.2017-03.2019)

    Created a digital reconstruction of the CTO measurement train. This included terrestrial and handheld 3D laser scanning, photogrammetry, 3D/CAD modelling and the realtime 3D workflow from Fusion 360 to Unreal Engine.

  • WEBNOISE – Web developer, Westerveld Advies (2005-’13, 2020-’21, 2023)

    Designed, programmed and maintained this online sound calculations toolset for Strukton, BAM, VolkerRail, Dura Vermeer, Spitzke, Beelen and Swietelsky Rail, and created a DHTML windows interface running on a LAMP platform.

  • DIVINE  –  Database developer, AEA Technology Rail (1998-2004)

    Designed and programmed this universal automated acoustic simulation model for railway yards, using Access and VBA. Implemented it for railway yards Almelo, Arnhem CS, Arnhem Cargo, Den Haag, Deventer, Dordrecht, Kijfhoek, Leeuwarden, Leiden, Rotterdam CS and Zutphen.
