ABOUT ME

My name is Marco de Goeij. I do the work I do because I love it.

I’m a technical 3D artist specialized in 3D reconstruction, procedural generation and world building for real-time and visual effects.

In the past 25+ years I have served many clients in various industries, from building web applications for simulating railway acoustics, matchmoving for feature film and television, to most recently 3D digital reconstruction and professional visualization for academic education in railway engineering.

Although I am based in Amsterdam, I work with companies and institutions across Europe and around the world. I’m proud and lucky to say that many of them have been with me, and coming back for my services for years.

My curiosity, eye for detail, thorough approach and ability to look at a situation through other people’s eyes, have proven to be valuable qualities.

I’ve always been passionate about making and learning. As a child I drew a lot and could spend months on a detailed wooden reconstruction of a sports car. Nowadays I absorb everything there is to know about proceduralism and realtime 3D, and I’m also rediscovering my passion for drawing.

Among my highest achievements is founding my lovely family, together with my wife Pauline and two daughters, Simone and Lucy. We love to travel the world together and discover beautiful landscapes and different cultures.

Hopefully we cross paths some day and we can create great things together.
